Yes: Geoworks is just fine. Even used as a front-end for manipulation of 
files it runs rings around Windows. Windows is far more awkward!
And, no! I don't mind people being 'nosey' - I met my wife when I was in 
the RAF. _Everyone_ habitually called me by my surname. We had been 
going out for some time when she asked me what her name would be if we 
married. I said 'Binnie' - it turned out she thought it was some sort of 
nickname!
Ironically, years later when she was working as supervisor of a 
developmental center everyone called her by our surname.
