Agreed.  They were better than my loudspeakers throughout my
college days...

Picked up a Grado SR60 for the discman at work. After upgrading
the pads, they are rather nice.

My only complain is the AKGs are hot during extended listening, but
I guess studio/DJ work would like their isolation when compared
to more open air and lighter designs.
