Ok, here is the update to everyone who has been keeping up with me and the 
school.....
As you all know by now David went to the doctor last week and he put him on 
the Paxil. Well it backfired and made him EXTREMELY hyper.
(we are adjusting as we go to see what works for him)
Wednesday was a really bad day for David. He was more hyper than he has ever 
been. His teacher called me at work and told me that he didn't bring his med. 
to school for that day and that for some reason he was worse than usual. I 
told her we were adjusting the medicine and that I would have someone bring 
the medicine up there, if that didn't work then I would come get him. She 
said she didn't want to send him home that she was working with him and she 
wanted to know if she could give him one lick just to show him that he does 
have to mind her. I told her to go ahead and see if that worked if not to 
call me back and I would come get him....I got no call (I had already talked 
to her several (about 8) times already.
So when I got home he had some papers for me. Well, the principle had decided 
that he should be suspended. The note said he was suspended for BIZARRE 
behavior.
I called the school this morning and had the teacher call me back. She said 
he was suspended because he would not settle down, so I asked for the 
principle. I then asked her why he was suspended when I had already offered 
to go get him instead of him getting into more trouble for something he had 
NO control over. She said she felt he should be suspended because he was 
acting like he was on drugs or something. At that point I lost it. I said, 
"Lady, he is on drugs". We are trying to adjust them and get them right so he 
doesn't act like this, but you people can't seem to get it into your heads 
that spanking him and suspending him is not helping. I then told her that 
there are federal law that they have to abide by and she said no they don't. 
She then said that her next step was to home school him and have a teacher 
come here to teach him. I told her that there was no way he was going to be 
home schooled and she couldn't force me to do it. She said "want to bet".
By then I was loosing what little bit of grip I had on my temper and after a 
few more statements about the law got off the phone. A man I work with knows 
someone on the county board so he called him (he had heard every word that 
was said). I told him what the basic problem was and he said he was going to 
have someone from the top call me. SHE DID.
I told her David had been suspended 5 times this year and had had numerous 
amounts of licks (in the 1st grade).  I told her that I had just gotten him 
off of suspention not a week ago and that now he was back on it after I had 
offered to come get him. She called the principle and asked her about the 
problems and she told her that he had only been suspended twice and he hasn't 
had licks but a couple of times.
This is where we are. She is waiting on his records from the school and to 
get a written report from the school. She said that they have been lying to 
me all year about the special ed. They kept telling me he had to fail a grade 
to even be considered for it. She was not happy about that.
