RL> AMD 5x86 133Mhz CPUs $89 These are the *ADZ* RL> models that are easily clockable to 160Mhz. Re your 5x86 133 CPUs, Randall. I have a AMD DX4/100 (N)V8T that just will not run at a 40Mhz bus speed. My SOYO 4SA W2/W5 board supports all CPUs to 160 but it freezes during boot up if I clock up my 486. So how do you achieve this feat of increasing the 33 Mhz busspeed of the 133 to 40Mhz ? I can run it as a DX2/100 with a 50 Mhz busspeed and that is much quicker than a DX4/100 with a 33 Mhz busspeed. I don't wish to dispute you, I am just after some answers. I have my eye on the 160 or the as yet unreleased DX4/150 (3 * 50Mhz bus speed) as I believe these will be quicker than the Cyrix 586/120 (clocked up 100) I currently have. The 486DX4/100 is on a Gigabyte motherboard that will be a second computer one day. I have relatives in Brisbane and Caboolture and if I purchase a CPU from you they will send it to me, unless your postage cost is minimal. I would prefer the 150 over a 160 Mhz CPU as the higher busspeed gives more gain over the slightly quicker CPU speed. Look forward to your reply. Peter. ...
