Thanks George. The information contained in the file (WRT FrontDoor) was
pretty much the same as that included in another file I have, not to
mention BGFax's documentation on FrontDoor and USR modems.
I was looking for local information though; ie, init strings used in
Australia by people running Austel Couriers rather than the US/Canada
models. Maybe there isn't a difference in terms of suitable fax strings,
but I don't know for sure.

In both cases, my modem and log reported 31200. It was probably a
split-speed connect, and would most likely have shifted up a notch on my
end had the link lasted much longer (assuming that it didn't shift
already).
