I think that it is necessary to do something about things temporarily -
although the way the self-styled moderator did things was way out. I know
that if this usurper sends me a message I'm going to ignore it.

On this, I think that if the moderator is dissolved when things are OK again,
we'll end up with the same problem again. It may take a while, but it will
happen again. Then we'll just be living on a roller coaster of crap. When
the moderator is elected, it goes down. Then when it's clear and the
moderator leaves, it creeps back up again. Better to keep the moderator here,
and not worry about having to elect a new one every time Dave Hatch or the new
backboner decides that the crap-o-meter is indicating just a bit too high.
