 Hi Bob,
This is a discussion echo and advertising is not allowed. But....

Contrary to popular belief, FIDOnet is not entirely anti-business. (grin)
FIDONET does have some areas where people can buy/sell/trade.
From the BACKBONE.NA list, here are some conferences with SALE in their
names or in their description line.
AMIGASALE Amiga Hardware & Software For Sale Conference
 AMIGA_CDROM Int'l AMIGA & CDROM/CDTV/CD32 Discussions & Sales
 AMIGA_SALE Amiga Software/Hardware Sale Echo
 CDROM_SALE CD ROM For Sale
 CFORSALE Commercial For Sale
CLASSIFIEDS Classified Ads (NON-COMMERCIAL for sale/trade)
 CMX4SALE Comics For Sale
 COMPUSALE COMPUSALE Echo
CRAFTING-FORSALE Crafting Project & Supplies For Sale
 FOR-SALE National For Sale Echo
 GEN4SALE Genealogy For Sale Echo
HAM-SALE Ham Radio equipment sale, swap & buy
HDSALE Buying & Selling of hard drives & accessories
 MAC4SALE Macintosh Items For Sale/Wanted
TREK_FOR_SALE Buying, Selling or Locating Star Trek Collectables

These conferences are national and international in distribution. Some
conferences are intended for private person to person sales, like a big
electric garage sale.
CFORSALE is specifically for persons/companies with a business license.
Many of the local nets also carry local For Sale areas.
For more information about the conferences, you can look at the ELIST, Echo
List. Ask your sysop if they can make that available to you.
Or look in the conferences, see what kind of items are being posted and
watch for the rules postings to see if you can peddle your wares. Or post a
message to the moderator requesting the rules be posted. If you are still
not sure, send a private e-mail to the moderator requesting a clarification.
Moderators and E-mail addresses can be found in the ELIST or in the origin
line of a moderator's message.

*This message is not sponsored by FIDOnet nor is endorsed by FIDOnet. I am
not giving anybody permission to post ads in these conferences. This was
just an idea I had to help people find a spot for their advertising on
existing conferences.
   Happy Hunting!
