subject: Need help

Hello Sharon,
15-Jun-97 22:29:00, Sharon Coyne did write to Paul Walker
          Subject: Need help
 SC> One thing, while I was typing the other day I accidently hit
 SC> something
       ÚÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ¿
       ³ that allowed me to draw lines. ³
       ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ
 SC> Would you happen to know what I hit to do this.
 Shift + F1
 Try pressing F1 on its own you should also find other options
   ÖÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ·
   ºto draw boxes º
   ÓÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄĽ
 SC> I couldn't stop it so I had to go out of
 Pressing Shift F1 toggles it back to off
 SC> qedit and back in to finish what I was typing. :-( I didn't know
 SC> that I could draw things in here. I know, I should read the docs
 SC> but I hate doing that. :-)
 You're not alone there !
* QCONFIG.DAT: Default config file for QEdit 3.0
*
Here's a macro that (I think) was already in qconfig.dat
=============================
* Macro to edit the file whose name is sitting at the cursor in the editor
*
^] AltWordSet MarkWord jFalse done: Copy EditFile Paste
                 Return done: DefaultWordSet
^-               GetPrev
============================
Activated with Ctrl ]
Just press those two keys with the cursor anywhere on the
following filename c:\autoexec.bat and it will load for editing!
Now here is a little macro you can try - if you are used to using
Alt K to mark and move columns Eg Alt K at end of column, Alt K at
start of column, move cursor, Alt m (or Alt G or Alt C)
You will find that there's no hole left where the column was
Now herle macro you ca e is a litt
Alt K tmove columns Eg o mark and
start oove cursor, Alt f column, m
Whereas with F10 the text does not close up
Now her le macro you ca
Alt K t move columns Eg
start o           ove cursor, Alt
===============================
f10              GotoBlockBeg MacroQuitFalse
                 Cut Paste
                 FillBlock ' ' Return
                 UnmarkBlock
===============================
Add the above to qconfig.dat
Run qconfig  - choose keys
and then save and exit
Have fun (BTW you did not say which version you are using :-)
To anyone else, why when I use the F10 macro listed above can
I not re-insert the chopped out piece with the Grey + key?
(I'm sure it used to work :-)
