  PMFJI - Have you tried adding more RAM to your computer?  As file sizes get 
larger, the need for RAM becomes more acute.  You may be able to continue 
using your present software with more RAM.
  On the other hand, more RAM and newer softer is good too! (grin)
  I recommend ACT! or Goldmine.
  I used Goldmine in a Windows 3.11 system on a Novell network, sharing a 
customer file with 4 other sales reps in the same building.  It was awesome! 
And we had over 12,000 contacts in the file.
