I released a public Alpha of Renegade today.  It can be downloaded from here,

This is an alpha release from the Renegade Devlopment Team.  This is meant
to update your 5-19.4, 6-2.4/ALPHA, 9-19.4, 10-08.4/DOS version of
Renegade to the latest version.

Included is an updated RENEGADE.LNG file of the strings that are now
configurable.  Update your own accordingly or use the default one included
with this archive.  Otherwise this is just a copy over install.

-----[ Alpha Testing New version ]----------------------------------------


  1.  FIXED  - ONLYONCE.ASC/ANS was displaying everytime, instead
               of ONLY ONCE. ;)

  2.  FIXED  - [0] bulletin would be displayed to new users, because
               the time & date variable was not set when the account
               was created.  SysOp's upgrading from 01-10.4 DOS will
               also see this with user's that view the bulletins for
               the first time since the upgrade.  After that time,
               the output will be normal.

  3.  FIXED  - %TN MCI code should echo the TELNET URL. but in local
               mode it was displaying the connection speed.  Via
               dialup it would also display the connection speed.
               This is now corrected, and will display the TELNET
               URL set in the WFC (S - A - B).
  
  4.  ADDED  - %IP to the PROTOCOL's MCIs.  Now it is possible to use
               the Nemesis Transfer Protocol as an external protocol.
               Added command line to PROTOCOL.DAT for easy addon.

  5.  ADDED  - %C+ & %C- to turn the curser blink ON or OFF.  Let's
               face it, some menus just look better without that
               cursor blinking in you eyes. ;)

  6.  REMOVE - Monochome Monitor Support was removed.

  7.  ADDED  - DOOR32.SYS Support (Menu CMD Key D3).  Also the new
               command line of -H for the Socket Handle which when
               combined with the upcoming VR32 program would allow
               the use of DOOR32.SYS Door Games to be played on
               16 Bit systems such as Renegade/DOS.

  8.  ADDED  - sACS to add to LastOn.Dat via System Config.  Set
               access for whom you wish to have added to the
               LASTON.DAT file.  (ie: !B0 will not allow local logons
               to post to the Last Few Callers).

  9.  ADDED  - /JOIN - /J in teleconferance, but now it either /j or /join
               /MSG  - /P in teleconferce is also now /MSG 
                global still.

 10.  FIXED  - Last Caller # will now allow increase on a proper logon,
               not just that node loading up and someone not logging on.
