| subject: | F1: Jaguar Valencia test notes 2004-02-19 |
Mark Webber and Christian Klien once again made the very most of their track time on the second of their vital three-day test session in Valencia, Spain. With Klien finishing third fastest on Wednesday, it was Webber's turn to impress on the time sheets on Thursday, the Australian clocking a quickest time of 1m09.096s from 127 laps of the circuit. Webber's mark eclipsed Juan Pablo Montoya's previous lap record of 1m09.103s set on Wednesday but was not quick enough to beat Kimi Raikkonen who stormed round the circuit in 1m08.998s. The Jaguar Racing team continued its programme of weight distribution, tyre work and aerodynamic set-up and Christian also had the chance to complete a trouble-free endurance run, simulating a competitive race distance. In doing so, the young Austrian completed 124 laps of the circuit setting a fastest time of 1m11.323s. -jaguar- http://www.motorsport.com -- your source for motorsport news on the Internet --- FIDOGATE 5.2.0ds-alpha3* Origin: TCOB1.net a way of life...
