This means that you have a newer version of WP 5.1 than
I have, so our tests may not get exactly the same results.

First, I am avoiding all the conversion from 4.2 units
to 5.1 inches from the above until I really have to.
If you really want to use the same units that you used in
WP 4.2 (10   54   58   103 etc. as you spell out above),
you may do so in WP 5.1. Use SETUP (Shift-F1), select
ENVIRONMENT (item 3), then UNITS OF MEASURE (item 8).
Last, select 1 and type u, select 2 and type u. This will
put you back in familiar territory. Just like home.
However, when you get rolling in WP 5.1, you may want to
go to inches for your units. When you do, be sure that you
have selected a 6 by 9 paper size. Then when you choose 2
columns, WP will calculate and define them with defaults,
and all may go well. I can not be sure, because I still
do not understand what happened to your columns.
If, even with using WP 4.2 units, you still get a distorted
page, you should be sure that you have selected the proper
printer. Do you get distorted columns only on paper, or
do they get distorted on the screen only? Both?
