When I called to order the (long overdue) manuals for version 2.5, I was
told the maintenance updates would be sent along with it. Thus to me the
real question is: are the manuals worth the cost. The answer is that
good documentation pays for itself. And online help (alone) is not good
documentation (unless it can be printed). You may judge for yourself if
the written manuals are any good. I have always found the manuals for
2.0 immensely useful and quite decently written.
