It's just a shame that the Orioles went 10-10 after that doubleheader sweep
in Oakland. However, the Orioles have now gotten five straight quality
starts, and of course keep pounding balls over fences. Zeile and Incaviglia
were great acquisitions - we can finally beat left-handers.
You know, with all the MVP talk, I never hear Rafael Palmeiro mentioned as a
candidate. He's got 35 homers and 130 rbi. Alex Rodriguez has had a better
season average-wise, to be sure, and homers are about even, but the Mariners
seem to be fading right now. Also, Palmeiro's defensive skills are never
mentioned - he's as underrated as Ripken in that regard. *adh*
