So are we, since the late 50's at least, but changing attitudes is a job
that takes generations.  In my experience, today's young people are much
more color-blind than their parents.

That doesn't mean that there aren't racists here.  Senator George Allen's
recent "welcome to America" crack to the young American of Asian
descent is ample proof of that.
