This has been going on quietly for a while.  Flensburg and Swansea share
databases - if you're stopped in the Fatherland while banned in the UK the
handcuffs will be on in seconds.

The Germans moved a long time ago by separating the driving licence
(Fuhrerschein) from permission to drive (Fahrerlaubnis).
