After the pitiful showing during the most recent flight of the
space shuttle it seemed obvious to me that NASA has outlived
it's usefulness.

First they admit they do not have the expertise to redesign a
new shuttle, then I hear we are going to buy Russian Soyuz
rockets to continue supplying the ISS.

Now the person in charge is saying that the shuttle and ISS
were mistakes and should've never happened BUT he is gung-ho to
put a man on the moon?

Someone should tell him we've "Been there, done that"?

No, never mind, it appears he has dug up the old blueprints for
the first moon landing and is going to duplicate that equipment
(since he knows _that_ works).

I think the $200 billion to rebuild New Orleans and the need
for the federal government to cut out pork to pay for that has
the desk jockeys at NASA running scared. Best to agree with
Dubya's insane idea to go _back_ to the moon for more
'moondust' and hope Dubya is confused enough to defend his
idiotic idea.
