Note that I was referring to the Courier as opposed to any other modems
which claim to be able toconnect at 33600 bps. David and Russell both have
Couriers, and regularly see 33.6k connects. Russell's modem is the
US/Canada model, but David's is the Austel version (same as mine) running
the same SDL I run.

I have managed 33.6k connects, which proves that it IS POSSIBLE. Granted,
it's not as frequent as I would like.

Interesting that you used MNP. I rarely receive MNP-enabled calls.
