Yep, it's very y2k worthy. I'd use the y2k fixed versions of everything
but oracle. There are still quite a few Max BBS's in operation, The
COMM Port OS/2 for one.. :) Just use the oracle from the original 3.01
archive.

Nope, you can do fido mail with Maximus. You'd need a frontend and what
you use for that would depend on what OS you are running and if you
want dial up or telnet. I'd use BinkleyTerm myself with Maximus, I ran
with that for a long time, or FrontDoor would work. I think D'Bridge
would work for dial-up and I believe the next release (soon) will also
do binkd connections. Argus is another that I think will do dial-up
and telnet. Many choices for you to think about and try.. :)
