So true about rates well roaming rates are typically US $1 a
minute plus a $3 or $4 a day setup charge which I can understand
with some little bitty cellular carrier but NYNEX and Bell
Cellular in Canada are definitely in the big league.
Maybe someone needs to raise the issue of roaming rates with the
regulators.
Was floored one time to learn the U.S. department that licenses
banks heard media reports about the computer problems at the
Comical bank of New York (its nickname) but don't like looking
for trouble so did not intervene until someone wrote in to
complain.
As a friend said if it had been a Federal Reser e bank with a
computer problem, the Presient would have offered to send over
every accountant and computer expert he could find to help fix
the problem.
... I haven't lost my mind; it's backed up on tape somewhere!
