GP~Well, if the games/leagues as we know them today existed mostly for the
  ~FUN of the game, your suggestion would go far, but being the central
  ~issue is only & completely one of PROFITS -- it'll never happen!

GP~(Unless the fan-base banded together and DEMANDED it by establishing
  ~that there will ONLY be a profit when it's done suchly!)

Maybe they are starting to see the light in Some places.
Ticket prices to support this runaway spending are starting to
drive the fans away - which in turn raises ticket prices more.
Eventually they may price themselves out of business..
