 Could'nt be agreeing with you more there. It was truly a unique series going
 against all the conventions of that (or any) Genre.
 T'was made in a time when storylines and characters were more important than
 special effects, and with all its' idiosynchrasies..could ONLY have been made
 by the Brits. Same applies to Dwarf and Dr Who.

 I was talking yesterday to my sister, who (like me) is in her 30's and was/is
 a fan of TV shows from that era, and we mused upon how with the Original Star
 Trek ... many famous and memorable quotes arose, and are still in use today..
 and not just amongst Trekkies. For all the new shows technical brilliance,
 they can't (imho) capture the spirit of the old ones.
 Blakes 7 will surely be fondly remembered for decades to come ... and I hope
 they never try to do a remake series. With today's effects and moral values,
 it would not be quite the same.
