There are no parks, streets or airports named after English leaders? The leaders that took over here after the collapse were running the country into the ground, the country was going no where and quickly until Aliyev returned. Of course a huge political move on his part moving in to save the day, but the bottom line is that in many ways he did save the day and moved the country in a better direction. I have never heard any people here or the politicians refer to either Aliyev as the "Great Leader" and you so much like to do. This to me is what you are implying and it is not true. It is pretty clear that Aliyev would have won here in a fair election although not by the numbers he put up. Your cult of personality is such an oversimplification that is just grates on me. I wish I could live in a such a black and white world as you, but unfortunately I have to live out here in the real one. In my world there are plenty of shades of gray, but not so many pure black and white. There are plenty of things to not like about the the father or son, but this constant pointing to a cult of personality is so far down on the list to be silly. The biggest problem that will destroy this country is corruption and much of that comes from the old Soviet legacy, but the new generation has picked up on it very quickly and has refined it in ways that would make the old guard proud.
