What I wrote does not mean I would never consider purchasing any motherboard with any VIA chipset. Did you ever try a motherboard that uses the *particular* VIA chipset that the subject motherboard uses? If so, how many PCI slots did you fill successfully, and of them, how many contained devices manufactured by LSI Logic? Consider also that Intel chipsets are sold in larger quantities than others. I've heard that Intel outsells all others combined by some multiple, 3X or more if I'm not mistaken. Now consider that specialize in clearing out old technology, e.g. Tiger Direct. I watch many closeout sources, and rarely see any motherboards offered by them except VIA (and SiS). Why would Intel be disproportionately represented by such places? -- "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." Psalm 33:12 NIV Team OS/2 ** Reg.
