The car I was driving at the time that got me pulled over for blue smoke 
coming out of the tail pipe was a 1980 Subaru. After partially tearing the 
engine apart I found out that a majority of the piston rings were sitting in 
the oil pan. I bought it as-is so there wasn't much I could do, it's sitting 
on a junk yard now. I only paid $100 for it and a new engine was going to 
cost me over $400, so I learned a lesson about only driving a car around the 
block a few times and then buying it... don't! take the thing out on the free 
way and floor it.
