Ah, yes, upgrading the motherboard. Our 386 board wouldn't fit in our old XT
case (the connections and slots were in the wrong place.
So we bought a mini-tower case and all was well.
Wonder if your power supply in the XT case was starting to give out?
That might cause some funky operations.
