The server connection to the telco must be digital.
Your connection doesn't change.
It is that simple.
The digital signal from the server to the client is converted TO analog ONE
time and NEVER back till the client modem processes the signal.
The key feature here is that the analog signal is not processed for sampling
by being bandwidth limited. This wider than usual bandwidth is the key and
is also the reason for the extra power contained in an x2 signal.
