Anyone know anything about a Denon DP-30LII turntable?
Someone gave me one of these, and I'd like to know if it's worth fixing or
even having an audio shop look at it.
I think it was sold new in 1983. It's a direct drive table with a speed
adjustment knob and buttons for power, 33 & 45, start & stop. I hooked it up
to a fairly new Sony receiver and didn't hear *anything* until I turned the
volume all the way up. I don't know if there's something wrong with the
cartridge (which I'd replace) or the table itself.
If I do wind up using it, I'd hook it up to my Adcom GTP-400 preamp. I've
got an old Pioneer direct drive table now, and I'm guessing the Denon is
somewhat of a better unit.
Thanks.
