123c833d2515 tech Hello David - --8<--cut CA>>>> I really have no interest in discussing fidonet. DD>>> And little knowledge of it it would appear.... CA>> I've said that several times. I never bothered to get CA>> involved in the details of fidonet. CA>> I have more knowledge of fidonet than I ever cared to CA>> have. This 'knowledge' of which you (and Ross) continue to CA>> speak, what puspose does it serve? Are you taller, richer, CA>> more popular, what? Why should I care? DD> We probably get the same woody from mastering the DD> intricacies of Fidonet networking that you do playing with DD> DOS or Oberon. That has become obvious to me. There was a person posting in the C_echo who was preoccupied with 'standards' and spouting off about what committees he was on and what the 'official' this, that, or the other position of said committees would be. It was almost funny but excruciatingly dull and at times arrogant when he was lecturing programmers he was not the equal of. Eventually most left the echo and discussion of programming stopped and never has re-started again. I wonder how many times self-aggrandizing buffoons have persuaded programmers that their 'audience' were just morons who didn't deserve newer or better software? > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ --- * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
