Interesting. I did not know that. She is a nice lady. Do you know how

Title: Garbanzo Cheese Loaf
Categories: Vegan
Yield: 6 servings
1/2 c Dry garbanzo beans, cooked
-drained & cooled
1 c Bread crumbs
1 c Boiling water
1 Vegetable bouillon cube
1 c Chopped green onion & tops
1/2 c Chopped celery
3 tb Oil
1 Egg, beaten
1 ts Salt
1 c Grated Monterey Jack cheese
3 ds Hot sauce (or more)
Dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water. Combine vegetable broth
with bread crumbs and set aside. Chop or coarsely grind the
garbanzos - DON'T puree them, you want to maintain the texture as
much as possible. Combine the garbanzos, crumb mixture and remaining
ingredients. Turn the mixture into a well-greased loaf pan. (Cook's
note: my pencil note in the margin sez "VERY well-greased & maybe
dusted with wheatgerm or flour - sticky stuff.") Bake at 350 degrees
for 40 minutes, until edges are nicely browned.
