CHARLES ANGELICH wrote in a message to BILL BIRRELL: CA> My preference is still Qedit and I drop to DOS frequently to avoid CA> Windows editors and use Qedit macros to speed things up. On linux I use mcedit, which seems to be pretty similar in terms of capabilities, though I've had to work at keeping the keystrokes straight when switching sometimes. :-) Macros are something I've done very little with. What sort of stuff do you do with them that's useful? BB> think Word can also do plain text editing, but I've never tried it. That's a good way to describe a lot of that stuff, you have to fight with it to get it to do what you want it to do. I've also been fiddling with copies of web pages here, and had the misfortune to acquire a few that were apparently done with word. I've decided that it's the worst possible tool there is for web pages, at least in terms of what I've encountered so far! :-) ---* Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-838-8539 (1:270/615) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 270/615 150/220 379/1 396/45 106/2000 633/267 |
