| subject: | Gold or tin ? |
-> Hello Wayne, nice talking to you ! -> WC>However they don't seem to specify gold or tin contacts. -> -> WC>This Gateway has gold contacts. -> -> I think that the gold to tin controversy only has to do with -> the corrosion possibility on the contacts. If they are clean, they -> will perform just as well. If I were to live in Florida year round, -> I would keep this in mind. Yeah that much I did know and it's all gold contacts here in both the Gateway Pentium and the H.P. Celeron. In fact it's likely I could max out the Gateway with the DIMMs in the Celeron as they both take PC100 128MB 168 pin DIMMS Both salvaged for FREE and now running Knoppix Linux :-) Still learning about the Gateway but it looks to be a server class machine with lots of goodies. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and best wishes to you and your's in the New Year. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
