Lee: Yes I know my GPS was expensive, but it is a portable unit which is
one reason it was so expensive. Also the external antennae was an
optional extra and that added to the price. One of the things I was
looking at was the portability factor! I belive the eight satellites is
used with DGPS which is more acurrate BUT the only problem problem is
from what I understand is not available in all areas. I think Lake
Ontario and Lkae Erie are covered but nothing further north. By the way
my GPS can acess a maximum of five satellites but I have only been able
to get four satellites so far.
