    Policy4 was never ratified, and there is no "Fidonet protocol."
    You can make any rules you want for yourself and your own bbs, but you 
can't say Fido's making you do anything but observe Zone Mail Hour.
    Even echoes that have been taken off the backbone for going over the line 
are still available to those who want them.
    I completely support your right to choose your standards, but it is your 
own choice, not something Daddy Fido enforces on you.
    This is Fido's strength, the individual autonomy of its sysops and their 
bbses.
