It really depends upon the BIOS of your motherboard. For me, I would have
had to disable USB to get an IRQ to
assign to the Tekram, so I went off and got a cheap Adaptec that WOULD share IRQs.
Use SCANPCI. I believe it is on Hobbes or OS2SITE. That will tell you
what IRQs are in use. If you can figure out
which slot your card is in, with some BIOS, you can set the IRQ with the
slot. If you have the manual for the
motherboard, you may be able to find out which slots have which PCI
interrupt (typically A/B/C/D). If one of those
interrupts is not shared by multiple slots, you can try moving your Tekram
card to it. The problem is that built-in
devices (IDE, sound, LAN) also typically use one of those PCI interrupts
also, and it is harder to find out which is
being shared. SCANPCI should help there, but you may have to pipe the
output to a file to see everything.
The hardware manager application is SYSTEM SETUP (in local system for ECS)
may also help. However, it
doesn't tell you which PCI interrupts are in use, only IRQs.
