Disabled in what way though? Disabled as in not MAKING retrain requests,

or disabled in not ACCEPTING retrain requests. Thats where things get a

bit ambiguous.

Yup, I know that, both the old Rockwell based modem in my BBS, and my

previous Cirrus Logic based modem (now sold) had retraining disabled in

the AT&F defaults. A bit braindead, really. (But then so is having &C0 :)
