123c832bab34 tech Hello Ross - DD>>> reread your own posts. DD>>> You quote Jennings at "starting Fidonet in '85 - and DD>>> setting up echomail in 86". CA>> If I began CoBBS in December of x year I might not get to CA>> the message system until x+1 year. So what? Jennings CA>> stated quite clearly his intentions for FIDO were to send CA>> email and files from the start. RC> email, why are you stuck on that term when it encompasses RC> all forms of messaging that can be done on and sent from a RC> computer? Because I don't want to discuss fidonets inner workings. RC> What Jennings created involved sysops messaging back and RC> forth, not users like yourself, files involved the nodelist RC> and fidonews. RC> Echomail came later period. RC> You dont even know the difference between netmail and RC> echomail. --8<--cut CA>> I really have no interest in discussing fidonet. RC> You cant discuss that which you know nothing about.. OK, and here is the crux of the matter. You want to turn the dicussion towards something that you _do_ know something about. Right? I am hearing that being a part of fidonet is very important to you and something you enjoy discussing. That part is not a problem but for the fact, as you have pointed out, I have never attempted to be a part of fidonet. In part, because I have no interest in the inner workings of fidonet. This is not intended as a slur re:fidonet just a fact of life. I don't have much of an interest in database software either which seems similar to me from a programming standpoint. A puzzle I do not care to solve. ;-) --- * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
