Very well now, lets talk about the premiere. To tell you the truth, i
think it was ok. I don't really know how to rate it. I will admit though
that
i did enjoy watching the episode. I think it opened up a few more doors
bout
the borg and that we now can negoiate with them if they were backed up in a
corner. But doesn't that make us think that the borg are now a much weaker
enemy that we first thought? Since now we know if they are backed up in a
corner they would do anything like allying with the crew of Voyager because
they had a way to built a powerful weapon. This means that the borg are not
as invisible as we first thought. I also think after seeing the new aliens
that the borg ships are not as impressive as they once were. The only thing
that is impressive about the borg is the size of their space. And the
billions
of borg that exist all over that space in ships and on planets.
I guess history was made for Captain Janeway which for Janeways fans
would make them all happy. Now knowing that Captain Janeway must have been
the first, because i don't remember Captain Picard negoiating anything with
the borg. So Janeway appears to be the first one to negoiate and have an
alliance with the borg. Of course the borg did break the alliance later.
ut
that doesn't mean they were only in it for the solution to a problem they
created. Which brings up another thing. I thought this new alien race were
looking for a fight, for conquest of the galaxy. Thinking they were so
powerful that they can conquer anything they face. But now i learn from this
season premiere that the borg were responsible for starting a war with a race
of aliens that had the ability to fight back and win battles against the
org.
The only sad thing now is that since Janeway helped the borg to defeat or be
able to fight the new alien race. That what it means is that the borg can
now defend themselves against this new race. Because once you are able to
develop a weapon to fight them. They pretty much have a even battle ground.
I really doubt we will be hearing much from the new aliens for a long time.
I don't think those aliens will appear in any future STTNG movie or DS9
episode.
Not to mention Voyager too. But who knows.
One thing is for sure is that this premiere even though it was one
hour with a rerun for the first hour of the season finale of Voyager. The
hour
itself was well worth it. I wouldn't say right now that this was the best
episode i see of Voyager. But i am sure it was one of the good ones out of
some others that i enjoyed watching. Now the last thing i wanted to bring up
was that i am sure that Voyager is not out of borg space. That they still
have
to find a way out of it without being destoryed by the borg. So i assume
hat
a few future new episodes of a new season will show them to be in borg space.
If anyone else that reads this after seeing the premiere, feel free to speak
your thoughts since i like to hear them. I am sure we will talk about this
for quite some time. As far as next weeks episode. I look forward to
seeing more of our new young woman who is now a new addition to the crew as
a human being. And as for Kes, i been hearing that she will be moving on to
a new place where she be leaving the show forever. I will miss Kes since she
seemed to fit well on the show. But i was not happy to hear that she was
unhappy with the show. So for her to leave and be replaced with a new person
doesn't bother me at all. I look forward to see how this new character will
fit in with the voyager crew.
... File not found, I'll load something *I* think is interesting.
