I am doing that from the vcr to the capture card (composite) rather then
use the straight cable connection to the computer as input.  That works
great for a wide variety of purposes, nevermind just TV.  For output from
the computer I am a tad more limited but networking (streaming) will take
care of that wuite nicely ... I hope.  Not a real big deal though other
then to learn and have some fun with the idea.  Conferencing (networked
'phones') would be another application for streaming.
