Here's what I did, and it seems to work well:
1. I installed the newd disks to a separate directory (TSE25e).
2. I copied the new EXE files only (e.exe & sc.exe) to my regular TSE25
directory.
3. I copied the new files from the TSE25E/HELP directory to TSE25/HELP.
4. I did NOT copy the new MAC files -- I'm satisfied with what I have had as
MAC files.
5. Using the new E.EXE and SC.EXE files in my TSE25 directory, I installed
my personal UI file (EOS.UI) into the new TSE25E E.E.EXE.
Result: Perfection. Everything works as before -- totally transparent.
When I have time, I'll learn more about TSE25E -- but there is no reason not
to start using it right off!.

P.S. Being a devout coward, I of course had backed up everything just in
case something might have gone wrong, so that I could have returned to the
original TSE25 version. That turned out to be unnecessary, but is good
practice anyhow. It's so much easier to dump unneeded files that try to
recover them!
