subject: FREQ Snippets? Could somebody explain?

Hi Stuart,
SM> I keep hearing about doing a thing known as FREQ to get Snippets?
SM> How do I go about doing this?
SM> My Sysop says he doesn`t know anything about Snippets, so if anyone
ould
SM> let me know how to get hold of them, then I would be very grateful :))
Check on Graham Print's system, 2:251/25. If Graham doesn't still have it
online, let me know and I'll send it over to him through the Filegate. I
believe he does though... His system is the Filegate Supersite in Fareham for
the UK. Also, you can try Robert Leach's system, also in Fareham. If you
need phone numbers for these systems, let me know.

Now, with terminate, I believe you can do the file request yourself, without
bothering your sysop about it . What you would do is send a netmail
message to the system who has the file direct crash with the filename in the
subject line, and the file request flag set. Check in the Terminate doc's
for how to do this. The system you send the netmail to would have to allow
non-nodelisted nodes (points like you are) to file request files. My system
allows this, but calling the US should not be necessary
Take care,
Janis
