Probably.  It was before I started with Linux that I worked towards ridding
myself of floppies but it wasn't until afterwards that I started having
greater success in eliminating that need.  It has been at least a couple
years now since the last time I ever used a boot floppy and am hoping that
was indeed the last time EVER, nevermind if it is Linux and it works
'better' (<-relative term).  Time will tell.  :-)
