     Thirty-something years ago, the Dodgers had very good pitching, but
     a rather impotent offense.  The late Don Drysdale had gone to the
     hospital for some reason which I no longer recall.  A teammate came
     by to visit, and told him that Sandy Koufax had pitched a no-hitter
     that day.
