The biggest problem you want to avoid is firing the gun with a barrel 
full of water.
Elsewise, it depends on the finish.  Ammo is relatively water resistant, 
you can use clear nail polish to seal the primers and bullets, but this 
is arguable as to necessity.  Depends on how often you soak your ammo.
