I know that. I want HIM to do what you just did, and then tell me WHY it's
faster. The main functions of a backup program are displaying a file/
directory tree (yes, I know any backup does other things), which the user
picks files to backup. The program can then save/restore these file lists. I
want HIM to explain to me where these simple tasks can be made faster. The
user is the only slow part in the whole operation before the actual backup.
In a nutshell, I was attempting to get him to say what I wanted him to say
do that I could use it to my advantage, simply by prompting him to do so.
