Which, the U-1 or something else? What I've got here is 12V only by the
fact that they're a pair of 6v units strapped together and held together by
the sticky labels on them. Most of the 33 AH units are "side-by-side" which
gives a roughly square configuration, but a couple of them are "end-to-end".
Single 6v units of this type are what I'm playing with in the emergency
lights, BTW.

These look pretty new as well, and the reason I ended up with them is
because "they were sitting on the shelf too long". I've only found one that
was at all discharged, and it seemed to want to take a charge, going from
an initial reading of around 10 volts up to normal levels over several days
with a slow charge of a little under half an amp or so.
I believe they're not new, the 10 AH units near me each have a little
sticker on the top sayind "X2/94" which leads me to believe that they're
dated in 1994. Not a problem for me!
