No. Anything after about ten weeks really needs a gynaecologist. I have
done early abortions, though.

When I was a student I was appalled at the women I saw with pelvic gangrene
after illegal abortions. Abortions will happen, legally or not. I think
that as physicians it is our duty to prevent the dreadful toll of illegal
abortion.

I am aware of the religious difficulties, and of the moral ones. If the
issue was easy it would long since have been settled. It isn't, but I never
want to see a woman die like that again.

And I haven't, since.
