I can't address IDE, my 740 is USB.  I would guess that you'd have less 
trouble with IDE than I'm having with USB! :^)

According to the support folk at RSJ,  you'll have to find OS2CDROM.DMD 
version 10.157.  The docs say 10.157 *or higher*. I had version 10.163, 
and they suggested I go back to 10.157.  That is the version used during 
development, so they are sure it works. Apparently, other versions send 
different commands to the device.

I'm not sure I like the way v6.0 works, but it should overcome the 
problems Dani mentioned.  It addresses everything by a drive letter.
