yeah....
I don't have any hard figures, but I was listening to the Art Bell
program and there was this guy on there who was quite knowledgable
about marijuana and it's history...including all the action which
has taken place here in the U.S. to demonize it.
During his conversation he mentioned that 1/3 of the prison population
in the U.S. is comprised of folks who there on marijuana charges
of one sort or another.
He got to talking about what happens to a person in California if
they are caught with 1 ounce of Marijuana vs being caught with 2
ounces....he said that with one ounce it's pretty much assumed that
THAT amount was for personal use.....BUT....if a person is caught
with 2 ounces then it's up in the air what that person is going
to be charged with as far as the prosecutor is concerned...
The prosecutor can go for possession for personal use -OR- he
can try and nail the poor bastard for possession for personal
use =AND= hit him with intent to sell, distribution and damn near
every other insane heavy duty jail time charge that they can dig up.
And THEY call this "justice" in the U.S. of A. ....Anything But!

I'd bet you're using an old nodelist....over here they changed
the Areacode to (541).....(541) 765-3887
