    There is no doubt that there is considerably less support for hardware
in general and video cards specifically with OS/2 but there are cards and
drivers that have sufficient power to run DVD movies, though most of them
require 3rd party, paid-for drivers.

  Who is the "we" that you speak for ? Do you suppose nobody not
using windows would ever want to do this? and what's wrong with mentioning
the options?  My point was to explore what Plextor might see as a
limitation to support that spacious spec, and to counter it in order to
lend some confidence to any prospective buyers of any dvd drive (so badly
spec'd) and for any purpose.  I say let each make his own choice.
